COMEBACK CLASSICS - WOOLWORTHS

Comeback Classics is a conceptual series of 1 day briefs from the LoveGunn Creative Team where we reimagine our favourite brands from the past and make them fit for 2023.

Our first brief of the series looked at how Woolworths would position themselves on todays High Street.


"Once fondly known as 'Woolies', this cherished staple fell on hard times and disappeared from the UK entirely in 2015. We have brought the discount retailer back in from the cold, alongside a long-lost companion we haven't see in ages-the woolly Mammoth.

Crafted using AI, our big woolly brand mascot is an endearing and huggable character that resonates with the next generation of families.

While preserving a sense of familiarity, the brand retrains its distinct identity with a vibrant red and white colour scheme, complemented by playful shaped stickers that guide shoppers through the various product categories.

The brand is then backed up by the new brand promise of 'mammoth discounts on little luxuries'.
